MULTIVERSE SURVEILLANCE PORTAL
Lex Pastore: Troubled Genius
Last modified by Charter Agent GKF
Lex’s typical thousand-yard stare.
Chaotic Abilities: Like his grandfather, Lex has an innate sense of engineering coupled with an obsession with esoteric science. Esoteric scientists create machines that can interact with the spirits of sentient creatures or twist the fundamental properties of the Multiverse. Lex’s knowledge grows by the day and he should be considered our highest priority in the Selig household.
Motivating Fear: The realization that he and his twin sister Morgan are going to get older and separate. Over time they will resemble each other less and less. One of them could die. One of them (he fears that it will be Morgan) will become bored or fed up with the other twin and leave.
These fears are rooted in the death of his grandmother Jean and the rocky relationship between his mother Piper and her twin brother Lucius. In addition to that, Lex and Morgan shared a traumatic experience when they got lost in the woods behind their home. They found the body of a long-dead deer. Later that night, after their parents had found them, the twins had a conversation over text messages. When Lex references “Nimsesku,” he is speaking about the family hamster, which cannot die.
Lex: … Nimsesku, he’s who we’re like. we won’t end up like a dumb dead deer. That’s for dumb animals that can’t look out for themselves.
Morgan: Why do you think that. I don’t think that. We die.
L: Things die. Not us, we’re smarter than that, I think.
M: You’re dumb, and not like an animal. They’re smart, that dumb dead deer isn’t dumb, it’s smarter than you who thinks he’ll live forever. Idiot.
L: STFU. Baby. Get smart. We are else. We are different. We’re Nimsesku to the max.
M: u stfu. You’re dumb and silly and dangerous. STFU u!
L: Listen, we can beat it. Death. And we will. We are no deer.
